Despite Elise Bell spoiling Jessica Wulf’s shutout bid with a late goal in the 82nd minute for the Rapid, the Rise’s impressive display saw them secure a convincing win at TD Place. Following this victory, the Rise climbed to fourth place in the league standings, surpassing the Halifax Tide by a single point, boasting a record of seven wins, one draw, and nine losses, totaling 22 points.
The first-place Rapid, with 33 points, maintain their lead over the Montreal Roses by three points, as they now have a record of 10 wins, four losses, and three draws. The Rise held the edge in possession with 53% compared to the Rapid’s 47%, and outshot their opponents 17-8, with 11 shots on target against the Rapid’s 3.
