Motorola Introduces Powerful Competitor to Samsung with the Launch of Edge 70 Max
While Samsung continues to lead in Android sales globally, Motorola is stepping up its game with the introduction of a feature-rich new contender. The all-new Motorola Edge 70 Max stands out with two exceptional features that outshine even Samsung’s latest flagship Galaxy phones – an impressive battery capacity and ultra-fast charging capability.
Inside the Edge 70 Max, users will discover a massive 7,100mAh silicon-carbon battery designed to prolong streaming, gaming, and browsing sessions between charges. Unlike conventional lithium-ion cells found in Samsung and other devices, the silicon-carbon technology offers higher energy density in the same space, enhancing battery life without adding bulk or weight to the phone.
When the battery runs low, Motorola offers a solution. The Edge 70 Max supports 90W TurboPower charging, enabling rapid replenishment when plugged into the mains. Motorola claims that just six minutes of charging can provide enough power for a full day, surpassing Samsung’s current maximum of 60W wired charging.
The battery performance of the Edge 70 Max has garnered praise from experts at DXOMARK, who awarded it the esteemed Gold Label for battery life and charging capabilities.
Beyond its battery prowess, Motorola has incorporated a host of flagship features into the phone. It boasts a sharp 6.82-inch Quad HD+ (2K) display and is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, capable of handling demanding games and AI functionalities. Additionally, a large vapour chamber cooling system ensures temperature control during intense usage.
Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the AI-powered camera system on the Edge 70 Max, led by a 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 sensor, alongside an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a dedicated macro lens for close-up shots.
Other notable features include an aircraft-grade aluminum frame, Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, water resistance, and a premium design available in Pantone Aqua Gray, Pantone Dark Shadow, and Pantone Ice Melt.
Wilkin Lee, Head of Marketing UK & Ireland at Motorola, emphasized the Edge 70 Max’s blend of technology, performance, and style, stating, “Great technology should look beautiful, perform brilliantly, and fit effortlessly into everyday life. With immersive visuals, powerful performance, all-day battery life, and the responsiveness gamers demand, the Edge 70 Max delivers a premium entertainment experience without compromise.”
The Motorola Edge 70 Max is currently available for purchase in the UK at a price of £699.99.
