Clarkes of Sussex shared the news via social media, stating that after over 40 years, the time has come to close their Burgess Hill location in West Sussex. While the exact closing date in April remains undisclosed, loyal customers have expressed their reactions.

Last year, Clarkes of Sussex shut its Brighton branch after trading for 25 years but still operates other stores in Sussex, including in Haywards Heath. Meanwhile, Clarkes in Lewes, under different ownership, is set to close in March.
