“Putin Ally Mocks UK: Only 1 Soldier in Greenland vs. Trump’s Threat”

Vladimir Putin’s ally Dmitry Rogozin ridiculed Britain for deploying just one personnel to safeguard Greenland, contrasting it with Europe’s 30-member force dispatched to the world’s largest island over concerns of a possible territorial seizure by Donald Trump. Rogozin humorously speculated if the lone British officer sent was akin to the fictional 007 agent James Bond.

Expressing his view, Rogozin, a close associate of Putin known for his militant stance, remarked that the disparity in response between dealing with Russia versus the US was striking. He highlighted that while facing Putin’s Russia required extensive military preparations, including arms, funds, and alliances, countering Trump seemed to demand only a small contingent of 30 individuals, which he found quite inadequate and almost comical.

This move, according to Rogozin, signaled Europe’s perception of Trump being significantly weaker than Putin, suggesting that the US leader would back down in the face of such a small force. He also noted Britain’s contribution to the mission, albeit with a single representative, drawing a playful comparison to James Bond, hinting at a scenario with Bond and his companions in Greenland.

The multinational force consisted of personnel from various European countries, including France, Germany, Norway, and the UK. Rogozin, a controversial figure known for his anti-Western sentiments, previously held prominent positions within the Russian government and space agency besides representing Russia at NATO headquarters.

In a prior warning, Rogozin speculated that Trump’s interest in Greenland might involve placing strategic missiles under the ice, potentially leading to catastrophic consequences. He expressed concerns over the US aiming to achieve nuclear superiority over Russia and China through such actions, which he believed could trigger global turmoil.
