“Barron Trump Reports Alleged Rape via Video Call”

Donald Trump’s youngest son, Barron Trump, informed Metropolitan Police officers that he has a close relationship with an alleged rape victim. The 19-year-old contacted the police in the UK from the US after witnessing an attack on the victim via a video call. The accused, Matvei Rumiantsev, a 22-year-old Russian national, faces charges including assault and two counts of rape against the unnamed victim.

During the call on January 18 last year, Barron Trump expressed concern to the London police after witnessing the assault. A transcript of the call, provided by the Crown Prosecution Service, revealed Barron’s urgency in reporting the incident despite some initial reluctance to provide personal details.

Following the call, Barron was asked by investigators to provide a witness statement, to which he responded in an email stating the brevity of the incident he witnessed. He mentioned the unexpected nature of the call and described briefly what he saw, emphasizing his decision to contact the authorities immediately.

In subsequent exchanges with the police, Barron mentioned his closeness to the victim and the alleged ongoing harassment she faced from the accused. Despite initial cooperation, Barron did not respond to follow-up emails from the authorities.

The victim expressed gratitude towards Barron for his intervention, stating that his call was crucial in that moment. Rumiantsev, the defendant, denies the charges against him, including assault, rape, and perverting the course of justice. The trial is ongoing, with the defense presenting a different narrative suggesting the victim’s account may not be accurate.

The trial proceedings are ongoing as the court continues to hear evidence and testimonies related to the case.
