A man was discovered lifeless in a ditch in Lohne, Germany, after his American Bulldog attacked him while they were on a walk. The dog remained near the man’s body despite efforts by doctors and paramedics to intervene. Subsequent investigation revealed that the man’s own pet was responsible for his death. The dog has been taken to an animal shelter for evaluation following the incident.
Vanessa Bokr, a dog expert, suggested that the dog may have turned aggressive after being prevented from chasing something, leading to the fatal attack on its owner. American Bulldogs have been involved in several deadly incidents in recent years, including the tragic mauling of a toddler in the US who entered an American Bulldog enclosure at his grandmother’s residence.
In a separate incident in the United Kingdom, a baby required urgent surgery after being bitten on the face by the family’s American Bulldog in Doncaster. The one-year-old sustained serious facial injuries during the attack, and the dog, which had shown aggression towards the baby previously, is currently under assessment in a kennel.
These incidents highlight the potential dangers associated with certain dog breeds and the importance of understanding and managing their behavior to prevent tragic outcomes.
