Veteran weather forecaster Roland Steadham tragically lost his life in a plane accident that occurred when his aircraft struck a power line and crashed into a freezing river. This incident, which claimed the lives of two individuals, took place shortly after take-off from Emmett Airport in Idaho, with the plane losing contact around 10:55am local time.
The wreckage of the aircraft was discovered in the Payette River, with authorities suspecting that the plane may have collided with an object, possibly a power line. Both occupants on board, identified as two males, suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Emergency response teams, including the Gem County Sheriff’s Office and fire and EMS personnel, promptly responded to the scene.
