Sir David Beckham reportedly made a spontaneous attempt to reconcile with his estranged son by extending an olive branch to Brooklyn and his spouse. The renowned former Manchester United and England footballer was knighted by King Charles in October, but Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz were notably absent from the ceremony.
Sources reveal that Sir David invited Brooklyn to join them at Windsor Castle for the investiture and also offered Nicola an invitation to a late-night dinner in west London. However, Brooklyn, residing in the United States with his wife, politely declined the offer, as reported by The Sun.
During the Berkshire ceremony and subsequent after-party at Gordon Ramsay’s Chelsea restaurant, Sir David was accompanied by his three other children, parents Ted and Sandra, and his wife Lady Victoria, while Brooklyn and Nicola were absent.
This incident adds to a series of missed family gatherings by Brooklyn and Nicola throughout the year, including Sir David’s 50th birthday celebration and his mother’s Netflix show premiere. Despite reports of strained relations, Brooklyn allegedly maintains private contact with his grandparents.
Recent social media posts by Nicola in celebration of her birthday show her spending time with Brooklyn and her family in Florida. Meanwhile, Brooklyn has been actively engaged on Instagram, sharing moments of preparing meals and showcasing his Cloud 23 sauce.
The ongoing family feud between the Beckhams and the Beckam Peltz’s has reportedly been escalating for nearly four years. Brooklyn’s actions, including blocking his immediate family members and sending a legal letter requesting communication through lawyers only, have further strained his relationship with his parents.
Despite the reported rift between Brooklyn and his parents, he seems to have a more positive connection with his grandparents. However, the prospects of reconciliation between Brooklyn and his immediate family appear uncertain, with sources suggesting a widening gap in their relationship.
