Wilson, residing on Garth Farm Road, Winlaton, Gateshead, denied the charges but was convicted after a trial. The court sentenced him to a ten-year prison term, with Recorder Mark Giuliani condemning his actions, stating that he prioritized his own desires over the victim’s objections. The victim’s impact statement was described by Recorder Giuliani as “chilling,” highlighting the profound impact of the assault on her. The woman expressed feeling so filthy that she resorted to using Dettol for cleansing.
