Millions of Sky Mobile subscribers are set to experience an increase in their monthly bills starting next month following a recent announcement. The majority of customers will witness a £1.50 per month bump, translating to an annual increase of £18, though some individuals may see varying adjustments.
Commencing on February 14, 2026, the revised pricing will be reflected in customers’ bills, marking the first alteration for in-contract Sky Mobile users in over seven years. Should customers be dissatisfied with the price hike and still within the minimum contract term, they have the option to terminate their package without incurring early termination fees.
Notably, the cost of the Sky Mobile social tariff, catering to those with lower incomes, will remain unchanged. Sky attributed the price adjustment to heightened wholesale network expenses, with affected customers set to receive notifications commencing immediately.
A spokesperson from Sky Mobile stated, “To maintain the expected quality, service, and value for our customers, a majority will experience a £1.50 monthly bill increase starting February.” The decision, made in light of industry-wide cost pressures, underscores the company’s commitment to enhancing network infrastructure and customer experience.
In a similar vein, O2 divulged that nearly all mobile and SIM-only contract subscribers will encounter a £2.50 monthly bill escalation from April 2026, surpassing the initially planned £1.80 increment. Three mobile customers opting for data plans of 4GB or less from November 9 will face a £1.80 monthly rise from April 2026, marking an 80p increase from the current £1 upsurge.
Customers selecting plans ranging from 4GB to 100GB will witness a £1.90 monthly increase, while those with over 100GB will contend with a £2.30 additional charge each month. Three broadband users, on the other hand, will experience a £3.50 monthly rate hike from April 2026.
Vodafone mobile subscribers initiating new agreements from November 12 will encounter a £2.50 monthly increase, with Basics SIM plan users facing a £1.50 rise. Vodafone broadband customers, meanwhile, will experience a monthly escalation of £3.50. Existing customers with Vodafone or Three contracts will witness price adjustments based on their pre-agreed terms.
