“French Tennis Star Moutet Upset Over Flirting Accusations”

Corentin Moutet expressed strong displeasure following Danielle Collins’ public disclosure about his alleged unsuccessful attempts at flirting. Collins, serving as a commentator at the Miami Open due to her injury, shifted her focus to a different topic recently.

The American, aged 32, who is currently sidelined, used a microphone instead of a tennis racket during her work at the Tennis Channel in Miami. Her coverage on Sunday, however, unexpectedly spotlighted French player Moutet.

Moutet, ranked No.33 globally, emerged victorious against Tomas Machac on Saturday. However, it was the incidents leading up to that match that caught Collins’ attention, prompting her to discuss the matter openly on the Tennis Channel.

During a segment, presenter Steve Weissman mentioned an encounter where Moutet was reportedly trying to get Collins’ attention by shouting phrases like ‘give me a come on’ and ‘let’s go’. Collins humorously responded by suggesting that Moutet should focus on improving his serve if he intended to flirt with her.

Collins further elaborated that Moutet had unfollowed her on social media after she made a comment about her preferences. Despite Moutet’s attempts to reconnect after his recent match win, Collins remained skeptical about any potential romantic interest from him.

Moutet, who stands at 5’11, was scheduled to face world No.1 Jannik Sinner in an upcoming match. Despite the upcoming competition, Moutet took the time to address Collins’ account of the situation, expressing his frustration with the public discussion.

In a social media post, Moutet denied ever following Collins and criticized the Tennis Channel for allowing such statements to be broadcast. He urged Collins to focus on self-acceptance rather than resorting to provocative actions for attention.
