Former High School Musical 3 actor Matt Prokop was recently arrested in Texas on charges related to possession of child pornography as well as several other misdemeanours. The arrest took place just before Christmas Eve, with Prokop facing allegations of aggravated assault involving a family member with a weapon and possession of child pornography as a second-degree felony. The arrest follows accusations of abuse from Prokop’s ex-girlfriend, Sarah Hyland, known for her role in the movie “Geek Charming.” Hyland accused Prokop of both verbal and physical abuse throughout their five-year relationship, citing instances where he allegedly physically harmed her during arguments. Notably, Modern Family star Julie Bowen intervened to help Hyland break off the relationship.
As a result of the allegations, Hyland was granted a restraining order against Prokop, requiring him to maintain a distance of 100 yards from her and her dog at all times.
