Bradley Walsh has recently admitted a surprising revelation regarding The Chase, the quiz show he has hosted since its inception in 2009. Both Bradley and his son, Barney, are well-known figures on television, appearing together and separately on various programs.
During an interview with Radio Times magazine, Bradley disclosed that he hasn’t watched his own show for quite some time due to his late studio schedule. He mentioned that Barney, too, likely doesn’t catch The Chase due to his filming commitments.
Despite not keeping up with The Chase, the 65-year-old shared his enthusiasm for BBC’s Casualty, where Barney, aged 28, has been portraying Cameron Mickelthwaite since 2023. Bradley praised the recent cinematic approach taken by the Casualty team.
Barney, when asked the same question, mentioned that due to their filming hours ending around 7 pm, he rarely makes it home in time to watch The Chase. However, he expressed his love for the show and watches it whenever he has the chance.
The father-son duo first teamed up on-screen in 2019 for the ITV travel series Bradley Walsh & Son: Breaking Dad, which has seen five additional series, with the latest airing in 2025. Reflecting on their collaboration, Barney highlighted the numerous exciting activities they have undertaken together over the years and hinted at the possibility of more joint ventures in the future.
While both Bradley and Barney are currently occupied with individual projects, Bradley assured fans that he has no plans of stepping away from The Chase or its spin-off, Beat The Chasers, as long as the audience continues to enjoy the shows. Viewers can anticipate the return of the father-son pair in the upcoming series of Gladiators.
