“Tesco Shoppers Decode ‘Secret Code’ for Deal Expiry Dates”

Bargain expert Jordon Cox shared a clever tip on deciphering a “secret code” to determine the expiration date of deals at Tesco. Known as the Coupon King on ITV’s This Morning, Jordon regularly imparts money-saving advice on social media.

In a recent video, he unveiled that products on Clubcard Price promotion feature a unique six-digit number indicating when the offer ends. By decoding this number in reverse order, you can pinpoint the expiry date: the last two digits represent the day, the middle two the month, and the first two the year.

By utilizing this method, shoppers can plan their purchases effectively and avoid paying full price, thus saving money on their shopping trips. This revelation coincides with Tesco’s reminder to customers to redeem £16.5 million worth of Clubcard vouchers before the end of the month, specifically by midnight on November 30.

Tesco awards Clubcard points for various purchases, such as one point per £1 spent on groceries in-store or online, or for every two liters of fuel purchased at Tesco petrol stations. Moreover, spending on Tesco Mobile, Tesco credit cards, and Tesco Clubcard Pay+ debit cards also accrues points.

To qualify for a Clubcard voucher worth £1.50 to spend at Tesco, customers need a minimum of 150 points. Currently, more than 24 million UK households possess a Tesco Clubcard, demonstrating its widespread popularity among shoppers.

In a statement, Tesco’s Group Membership and Loyalty Director, Shama Wilson, emphasized the importance of utilizing Clubcard vouchers before they expire, highlighting the significant value of unredeemed vouchers this quarter. Checking the Tesco app for expiring vouchers can unlock various rewards and savings opportunities for customers.
