Noel Gallagher Eyes Villain Role & Bond Theme Song

Noel Gallagher, the 58-year-old Oasis musician, expressed his interest in portraying a villain in the upcoming 007 movie and mentioned his willingness to compose the next James Bond theme song if given the opportunity. Gallagher emphasized the importance of having a British artist perform the track for the next film. He humorously shared his response if contacted by Barbara Broccoli, indicating his enthusiasm for the possibility.

While there were speculations that Amazon had the band Oasis on their wishlist, Gallagher confirmed that he had not received any official requests. However, during an interview with Andy Goldstein on TalkSport, he playfully entertained the idea of playing a “Mancunian villain” in the movie.

Having previously shown interest in contributing to a Bond soundtrack, Gallagher mentioned having written Bond-themed songs in the past. He described his compositions as potentially fitting for the iconic spy franchise. Gallagher, the lead guitarist of Oasis, recently concluded the Oasis Live 25 reunion tour with his brother Liam and the band members, marking a significant return after their split years ago.

As the 007 franchise awaits the announcement of the next James Bond actor and theme song artist, notable artists such as Adele, Billie Eilish, and Madonna have contributed to previous Bond movies. The franchise’s creative control has transitioned to Amazon MGM studios, with Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli stepping back while retaining ownership. Steven Knight, a British screenwriter, has been confirmed to pen the next Bond film.

Recognized for hits like “Wonderwall” and “Live Forever,” Oasis has left a lasting musical legacy. The band’s recent reunion tour marked a significant moment for fans, following their split years ago.
