“New £3.74 Asda Meal Deal: Main, Snack & Drink Included”

Asda has introduced its inaugural fixed-price meal deal, priced at £3.74, which includes a main dish, snack, and beverage.

This meal deal is accessible to all customers without the need for loyalty cards and replaces the existing three for two offer at Asda Food to Go counters.

Shoppers can save up to 50% by opting for the meal deal instead of purchasing the items individually. The selection includes both Asda’s own-brand classics like the Chicken and Bacon Sandwich and popular branded items such as Doritos crisps and Coca Cola Zero.

The set price encompasses all items within the food to go section, offering a choice of 132 mains, 336 snacks, and 222 drinks. Alongside larger Asda supermarkets, this deal is also available at all 478 Asda Express convenience stores.

Amy Wotherspoon, the Buyer of Food to Go at Asda, expressed that the new £3.74 Meal Deal is designed to provide exceptional value to all customers, without the requirement of an app or membership. The range of products ensures that there is something for everyone.

Asda’s top-selling main dish is currently the classic Cheese & Onion Sandwich priced at £1.42, with sales exceeding 50,000 per week.

Comparatively, Tesco’s meal deal price has increased from £3.60 to £3.85, and without a Clubcard, it now costs £4.25, up from £4. The premium Tesco meal deal now ranges from £5 to £5.50 for Clubcard holders and from £5.50 to £6 for non-members.

Sainsbury’s raised its meal deal price from £3.75 to £3.95, and the premium meal deal now costs £5.50. Meanwhile, Morrisons offers a meal deal at £4 for a main, snack, and side.

In other news, Asda has announced a £180 million investment to refurbish 180 in-store cafes. Upgrades will include digital ordering screens, table ordering service, and a new menu featuring dishes like smashed avocado on toast, katsu chicken curry, and a variety of pizzas including margherita, pepperoni, and more.

This strategic move aims to enhance the dining experience for customers and provide a wider range of food options at Asda’s cafes.
