Christian Horner in Contention for Aston Martin Team Principal

Christian Horner is being considered as a potential replacement for Andy Cowell as the team principal of Aston Martin following rumors of Cowell’s impending dismissal post the Las Vegas Grand Prix. With Aston Martin currently struggling in seventh place in the Constructors’ Championship, reports suggest that Andreas Seidl could be in line to take over the role. However, BBC Sport has revealed that Horner is also a contender for the position, marking a significant opportunity for him to return to Formula 1.

Earlier speculations about Horner joining Aston Martin were refuted by Cowell ahead of the Singapore Grand Prix, stating that there were no plans for Horner to be involved with the team in any capacity. If Horner were to join Aston Martin, it would lead to a reunion with his rival, Zak Brown, who has previously criticized Horner for changing due to fame and success.

Meanwhile, Horner’s former team, Red Bull, saw success in Las Vegas as Max Verstappen won the race, keeping his championship hopes alive. McLaren faced disqualification after the race, allowing Verstappen to close in on championship leader Lando Norris.
