Darts Pro Luke Littler Overcomes Setback

Luke Littler, an 18-year-old darts player, recently shared an update after missing the second-to-last Players Championship event of 2025. Littler was supposed to compete in PC33 at the Robin Park Tennis Centre but couldn’t make it on time due to traffic issues. Consequently, he missed the registration deadline and had to give up his spot.

Instead of participating in the tournament, Littler went to a Chinese restaurant, while his competitors, including Luke Humphries, took the stage. Later, he explained his tardiness, citing a road traffic incident on the M6 in Wigan where a man lost his life.

Emergency services responded to the incident on the M6 between junctions 25 and 26, with Greater Manchester Police confirming the tragic death. Despite missing PC33, Littler secured his place in the upcoming Players Championship finals in Minehead by winning PC32 and earning a £15,000 prize.

Following his victory at PC32 and his recent title as the World Grand Prix champion, Littler faced disappointment at the European Championship in Dortmund, where he was defeated by Wade. Despite challenges, Littler remains optimistic about his future in darts competitions.
