“Tragic Aircraft Crash Claims Two Lives in Fort Worth”

Two individuals lost their lives in a tragic incident where an aircraft crashed into several trucks alongside a highway, causing a massive fireball. The event occurred on Sunday, October 12, in Fort Worth, Texas, with distressing videos circulating on social media showing a large smoke plume emerging from the crash site as emergency responders swiftly arrived.

The victims’ identities remain undisclosed as authorities work to determine the cause of the accident. The crash transpired around 1:30 pm local time near Hicks Airfield, situated in an industrial area surrounded by small businesses and residential communities.

Lois Kinman, a spokesperson for the airfield, confirmed that the involved aircraft was not based at that location. Various emergency teams from Tarrant County and neighboring areas swiftly responded to the scene, including crews from Haslet, Lake Worth, Newark, Saginaw, Eagle Mountain, and Fort Worth.

Robbie Hoy, a public information officer with the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office, stated that the Federal Aviation Administration would lead the investigation into the crash. Meanwhile, motorists were advised to avoid the area to allow authorities to manage the situation, with images showing emergency vehicles cordoning off the affected roadway.

The aircraft involved was identified as a Beechcraft King Air C90, although the exact number of passengers onboard during the crash remains unknown. A witness, Lauren Anderson, described seeing a massive black smoke cloud and a continuous stream of emergency vehicles at the scene. Despite the initial chaos, the area appeared to return to normalcy once the smoke dissipated, leaving an eerie feeling of the recent tragedy.

The Mirror US reached out to the Fort Worth Fire Department for further updates on the incident.
