“Olympic Medalist Inspires Young Athletes at Local Club”

Georgia Hunter Bell, an Olympic bronze medalist in the 1500m event, recently won a silver medal in the 800m at the world championships in Tokyo. She visited Ealing Southall & Middlesex Athletics Club, where she once trained as a junior, to share her experiences with young athletes.

During her visit, Hunter Bell conducted training sessions for the youngsters, interacted with them for photos, and participated in a Q&A session to offer advice on achieving success in athletics. She emphasized the importance of bravery in races and the need for proper discipline in areas such as sleep, hydration, and recovery.

Having left her cybersecurity job to pursue athletics full-time, Hunter Bell encouraged the young athletes not to compare themselves to others but to focus on their individual paths. She highlighted the significance of hard work and consistency in reaching the world stage.

The club members were thrilled to have Hunter Bell visit, following in the footsteps of former athlete Dame Kelly Holmes in representing their nation. Membership manager Peter Flewitt expressed admiration for Hunter Bell’s achievements and the valuable insights she shared with the aspiring athletes, underscoring the message that with dedication and support, anything is possible.
