Carrey, 64, made the announcement while receiving an award at the César Film Awards in Paris, France, where he referred to Min Ah as his “sublime companion,” expressing his love for her in French and calling her an angel.
Carrey, known for keeping his personal life private, has revealed very little about his new wife, who is reported to be 32 years old, exactly half his age. Photos published by Just Jared in 2022 show that the couple has been together for several years, as they were seen leaving a benefit show together.
The couple exchanged vows in a small, private ceremony in Los Angeles, as confirmed by TMZ. Carrey’s spokesperson, when reached for comment by CBC News, confirmed the actor’s marriage but provided no further details. This marks Carrey’s third marriage.
Previously, Carrey was married to Melissa Womer from 1987 to 1993, with whom he shares a daughter named Jane Erin Carrey. His second marriage to Lauren Holly in 1996 ended in divorce less than a year later. Carrey also had a relationship with Renee Zellweger after starring with her in “Me, Myself, and Irene” in 1999. Despite their breakup in 2000, Carrey described Zellweger as his “last great love” in his book “Memoirs and Misinformation.” Additionally, Carrey was in a long-term relationship with actor and model Jenny McCarthy from 2005 to 2010, although they were never married.
