David, who recently extended his contract through June 2029, joins Brighton after a successful stint at Union, where he netted 41 goals in 82 appearances and contributed to the team’s first league title victory in 90 years in 2025. The 25-year-old showcased his talent on the international stage, representing Canada at the World Cup and scoring a goal despite limited playing time due to a hip injury. With four goals in 14 senior national team appearances, David made a significant decision to switch allegiance from Nigeria to Canada in 2025 after discussions with coach Jesse Marsch.
The talented striker, born in Brampton, Ontario, has had a diverse career, playing in Croatia, Malta, and Estonia before moving to Belgium in 2024.
