Lulu has openly shared her struggles with alcohol addiction, admitting that she once believed she was a bad person. The singer, who won Eurovision, recently had an emotional moment discussing her parenting with her son Jordan.
The renowned Shout vocalist, who shares a son with former husband John Freida, revealed that she has been sober since November 3, 2013. She expressed relief upon realizing that alcoholism is an illness, which helped her overcome negative self-perception.
During a podcast with Matt Willis, Lulu discussed her alcohol dependency issues and how meditation played a significant role in her recovery journey. She also talked about her relationship with her son, mentioning that he finds it too painful to listen to her interviews.
Lulu shared that her son, Jordan, is both forgiving and intelligent, having moved on from past grievances. Jordan, who initially pursued an entertainment career, later transitioned into the restaurant business, successfully running three establishments. He is married to Alana Rice, and they have two children together.
Despite acknowledging past mistakes, Lulu is grateful for the opportunity to make amends and be present for her grandchildren. She emphasized Jordan’s kindness and intelligence, highlighting their evolving relationship and mutual understanding.
