“From Forgiveness to Tragedy: Woman Killed by Killer She Employed”

A woman whose mother and cousin were murdered in 1996, and who later befriended and employed one of the convicted killers, tragically met her own demise at the hands of the same man. Sally Snowden McKay, 75, and her cousin, Joseph “Lee” Baker, were murdered at their Arkansas estate. After the incident, Sally’s daughter, Martha, showed compassion toward the killer, Travis Lewis, who she believed was wrongly accused.

Martha eventually reopened the mansion where the murders took place, transforming it into a luxury bed and breakfast named Snowden House. She supported Lewis’ release from prison and even offered him a job at the property. Despite warnings from friends about Lewis’ character, Martha chose to trust him.

However, Martha’s trust was shattered when she suspected Lewis of stealing money from the house. Tragically, Martha was found dead in her home in 2020, with evidence suggesting a burglary gone wrong or a planned murder. The perpetrator attempted to flee but drowned in a nearby lake while being pursued by the police.

The investigation revealed that the killer was indeed Lewis, who had a history of violence and drug use. Martha’s family and friends were shocked by the tragic turn of events, expressing disbelief and sorrow over her untimely death.
