David Harbour Exits Behemoth! Film Project

Stranger Things actor David Harbour has decided to leave his upcoming movie project, Behemoth!, which was in production for several months. Initially set to star alongside Pedro Pascal and Olivia Wilde, Harbour’s departure reasons remain undisclosed. The film’s storyline, shrouded in secrecy, is speculated to revolve around a cellist.

While Harbour’s role in the film was undisclosed, reports indicate that Will Arnett will step in to fill the void. Joining a star-studded cast including Pascal, Wilde, Eva Victor, and Matthew Lillard, Arnett’s inclusion comes as a replacement for Harbour.

Sources close to Deadline suggest that the recasting process will necessitate minimal reshoots, as Harbour’s involvement in filming had been limited due to commitments related to the fifth season of Stranger Things. The popular series recently concluded after nearly a decade, with Harbour portraying police chief Jim Hopper in the supernatural events of Hawkins, Indiana.

The final season of Stranger Things was released on January 1, marking the end of the beloved series that aired in three parts starting late in 2025. Leading up to the first volume’s release, Harbour engaged in a global press tour, including promotions for ‘Stranger Things Day’ organized by Netflix on November 6.

During this period, Harbour faced personal challenges following the release of his ex-wife Lily Allen’s revealing album, West End Girl. Allegations of infidelity surfaced in the album, though Allen has hinted that some parts are fictional. Harbour has refrained from commenting on the matter.

Having been married for four years, Harbour’s public appearances have been scrutinized in light of the recent events. His representatives have been contacted for comments regarding his departure from Behemoth!.
