Before the big reveal in this evening’s episode of The Traitors, an expert has examined the body language of six players connected to the mysterious traitor role. Fiona Hughes, Amanda Collier, Jessie Stride, Sam Little, Harriet Tyce, and Ellie Buckley are all in the spotlight, with Fiona currently leading the list of potential suspects.
Despite various fan theories circulating, attention has mainly zeroed in on Ellie, a psychologist, and Harriet, a former barrister turned crime writer, for different reasons.
In a previous episode, Ellie was heard mentioning, “People will question whether you are sitting and watching as a kind of Secret Traitor,” during an interview segment. Viewers, unaware of any plot twists, interpreted this slip of the tongue as suspicious.
Fans have also speculated that she may have already known her fellow player Ross Garshong before filming, following a photo that seemed to show them standing together. Additionally, it has been noted that Ross had previously engaged with two of Ellie’s LinkedIn posts, which have since been removed.
Regarding Harriet, sharp-eyed viewers spotted her photograph in the background of The Traitors: Uncloaked, alongside the three confirmed traitors, leading to conjecture that this might hold a clue.
Expert body language analyst Dr. Beth Dawson, in collaboration with Mecca Bingo, has provided her insights on the potential Secret Traitor.
Beth remarked, “Fiona exhibits controlled and composed body language, maintaining a steady posture, minimal restlessness, and a serene facial expression even in intense group settings. This minimal emotional leakage can be challenging to interpret.”
“However, adept deceivers are skilled at regulating their reactions. Although her composed demeanor could also reflect genuine self-assurance and emotional control. The absence of strong indicators of cognitive stress, like excessive explanations, forced eye contact, or sudden posture changes, renders her behavior more enigmatic than overtly deceitful.”
Verdict: No
