Police have shared surveillance footage as they seek a man in connection with an alleged sexual assault on a train. British Transport Police reported that the man sat beside a female passenger and committed the assault. Despite the woman changing seats twice to avoid him, he followed her each time.
The incident, as per authorities, occurred on the District line heading towards Cannon Street Tube station in London on December 15, just before 8 pm. A photograph of an individual believed to have information pertinent to the investigation has been made public.
In an appeal for information, the police stated, “Can you identify this individual? This image has been released by officers investigating a sexual assault on a District Line train towards Cannon Street Underground station.”
“At around 8 pm on Monday, December 15, a man sat next to a woman and sexually assaulted her. Despite her attempts to move away from him twice, he persistently followed her and resumed sitting beside her.”
“The authorities suspect that the individual in the image could possess vital information for their investigation.”
