The British driver was seen sharing kisses and embraces with the Portuguese model in the midst of the crowd before heading to the podium to celebrate his victory over Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Only needing to secure third place at the Yas Marina Circuit to clinch the title, Norris maintained his position despite initially losing second place to his teammate and title competitor Piastri. Charles Leclerc posed a late threat, but his Ferrari’s pace diminished, allowing Norris a clear path to the championship title. Overwhelmed with emotion, Norris expressed his gratitude to his team over the radio as he crossed the finish line.
Upon exiting his car, Norris shared heartfelt moments with his parents and his girlfriend, Corceiro, with whom he had publicly confirmed his rekindled relationship earlier in the season. Corceiro, who has been in the spotlight for years, has drawn increased attention to the partners of F1 drivers this year.
Following the Singapore Grand Prix, where partners of drivers were prominently featured on screen during the live broadcast, Norris’ former teammate Carlos Sainz criticized the focus on WAGs, suggesting that the production team was overly emphasizing their presence. Corceiro, speaking to Portuguese media, expressed her nonchalant attitude towards the cameras, stating, “I don’t call the cameras. If they record me, they record me.”
Tears of joy continued to flow for Norris as he reflected on his triumph, expressing gratitude to his McLaren team, his parents, and his competitors, Verstappen and Piastri.
