Sam Faiers, a mother of three, stands firm in her decision to co-sleep with her children for a decade, despite facing criticism from fans.
The 35-year-old former TOWIE star, who is in a long-term relationship with Paul Knightley and has kids named Paul, Rosie, and Edward, discussed her sleeping arrangements on a podcast with her sister, Billie. She has reiterated her choice on Instagram.
Posting a photo of herself in bed with her youngest son, Edward, Sam expressed her contentment with sharing her bed with her children for the past ten years, stating that she has no regrets.
Sam revealed that in the past, her two older children slept in a large bed with her partner while she slept in a separate room with Edward as a baby.
During a conversation with Billie in 2022, she described the sleeping arrangement as her partner and two older kids in the main bed, and her in the spare room with Edward. She mentioned that this arrangement has worked out fine for them.
Despite criticism from some fans who believe that Sam and her partner should share the same bed, Sam defended her choice, stating that her kids have grown accustomed to it. She also mentioned that it would feel strange for her and Paul Snr to sleep alone together now.
Sam admitted that she and her partner have rarely slept alone in their own bed over the past seven years, except for occasional nights away in hotels. She mentioned that she is comfortable with this setup as they have different bedtime preferences, emphasizing that each family does what works best for them.
In contrast, Billie, who has two children and was expecting her third at the time, expressed that she would find it challenging if her children joined her in bed every night.
Sam has faced criticism in the past, particularly after an incident on her reality show where her son misbehaved in a restaurant. Despite trying to discipline him, she received negative feedback from some viewers.
