“£10,000 Reward for Capture of Murder Suspect Fleeing to Turkey”

A reward of £10,000 is on offer to aid in locating a suspect who is believed to have fled to Turkey after brutally killing his romantic rival. Crimestoppers is providing the cash reward and urging the public to come forward with information leading to the apprehension of Ceyhan Dinler, aged 38. Authorities revealed that Dinler left the country in November 2024 following the fatal stabbing of Cumali Turhan in Chelmsford, Essex. Detective Chief Inspector Louise Metcalfe of Essex Police emphasized the importance of bringing justice for Cumali’s family.

The victim, 45-year-old Mr. Turhan, was fatally stabbed in the neck after enduring torture on November 19, 2024. Dinler allegedly discovered Mr. Turhan’s secret relationship with his girlfriend, leading to the violent attack. Gruesome details emerged, revealing that parts of the victim’s tongue and genitals were mutilated and discarded during the crime. Police investigations uncovered the victim’s body 47 days later at a landfill site in Colchester.

In a separate development, a man was sentenced to seven years in prison for his involvement in the suspected murder of Mr. Turhan and the improper disposal of his body. The individual, Ciprian Ilie, assisted in disposing of Mr. Turhan’s body in a bin, which was later taken to a landfill. The trial highlighted ongoing tensions between Dinler and Mr. Turhan over a shared love interest.

Phil Breckton, the regional manager at Crimestoppers, assured the public of complete anonymity for those providing information related to the case. He stressed the significance of helping the investigation to provide closure for Mr. Turhan’s family. A recent documentary, “Catching a Killer: Buried Truths,” showcased CCTV footage of the victim and the suspect together shortly before the suspected murder.

Further investigations revealed that the victim was lured to a local bar where the fatal stabbing occurred. Detectives found incriminating evidence linking Dinler to the crime scene. Authorities believe that the victim, a Tottenham Hotspur fan and Turkish national, was subjected to extreme violence before his death.

Law enforcement officials are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward anonymously through Crimestoppers. The reward offer is valid until April 6.
